The location is very convenient - very short walking distance from the beach.
I stayed in the 1 br studio and was quite pleased, the studio was clean, free of bugs, furnished with all the basics, i.e. - sofa bed, comfortable king size bed, cable tv (2), alarm radio, reading materials, internet access, fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, stove, a good size refrigerator and all the kitchen equipment needed for cooking, serving and eating a meal, all you have to bring is the ingredients.

If you are looking for a small quaint quiet, clean, decent place that is reasonably priced and walking distance from the beach, nice shops, galleries, fine, local and casual eateries as well as little ice cream and coffee shops then Lido Islander is the place to be.

I wanted to stay longer, but rooms were already booked for the weekend.

After looking for hours for a decent, not too expensive hotel (even on Priceline), I nearly gave up until I discovered the Lido Islander. Room rates were extremely reasonable and the location was perfect! We booked a single room. Granted it was tight (barely room to walk around), it was just what we needed. Bathroom was clean. Bed was quite creaky. TV worked fine. There was a microwave and fridge, but in our room, these were situated in a closet of sorts along with an air conditioning vent system. There was no thermostat in our room and we were cold. However, the beach was only 3 minutes away. Would stay here again, but may spring for 1 bedroom suite next time!

Me, my mom, and my 2 friends just went there in the past few days in Lido Islander. It s a great place to stay. It a good deal and price and the LOCATION!
It only 2 blocks from the beach and 3 blocks from St Armands Circle. It close to everything even downtown Sarasota and 20 minutes away from Seista key*the beach* and Longboat key too..
I will go back there again and stay there again for sure.
Thank you very much for your help while we were staying there in a few days. We had no problems while we stay there.

My husband and I spent this past weekend at the Lido Islander. We reserved a guest room for 3 nights, for about $165.00 total.

The room was a bit small compared to a standard hotel room, it felt more like a bedroom. It was very clean. The sheets were a little worn, but again, very clean. (They do not offer a daily maid service).

There was a fridge and microwave oven which was nice, plus a small table w/2 chairs. The closet had quite a few kitchen supplies - plates, glasses, silver, etc. The room decor was charming - cute furniture and floral stencils on the wall. Big ceiling fan.

The only issue we had was that the air conditioning control was in the suite next door, so we could not adjust it ourselves.

Speaking of the suite next door - it was empty and open so we were able to peek inside. The price difference between the guest room and suite was not that significant so we would definitely book a suite next time!!! The rooms do have wireless internet.

The location was AWESOME and one of the best things about this place. It's 2 blocks from the Lido Key beach and 2 blocks to St. Armand's circle which has tons of restaurants and shopping. There was a craft fair going on the weekend we were there. It's located in a very quiet residential neighborhood. There is no traffic and no noise.

It is a very laid backed placed but offers great value. If you book one of the suites it is like an apartment by the beach. It has a full kitchen and plenty of room. The rooms were clean and nice. We will be back.

We had a 1 bedroom suite. It had a kitchen where we could cook breakfeast and dinner, which we enjoyed very much, a great way to save some money. The room was fashionable and clean, as well as confortable. It was a suite with a separate bedroom and living room and dining area. The location was very nice close to the beach and shopping. It was a no frills type a place, but if the hotel with frlls on the beach are a small fortune compare to this place. It was a great value and we would return again,

What a Hidden Gem!

We had a fabulous stay here! The Lido Islander is in a great location, just a few minutes from the beautiful beach and a short walk to St. Armands Circle with great shopping and food. The property was very clean and beautiful. The experience is like staying at a cool European boutique hotel in the middle of a tropical oasis. The sleigh bed was very comfy and the free wifi was great! We stayed in 4A upstairs, a room with a queen bed and bath. We felt very safe at the property, and the room had everything we needed, and all was in good working order. We can’t wait to stay again. Good value for the money.
Traveler's tip on dining

We ate at Cha Cha Coconuts, a tropical restaurant on St. Armands Circle. They had a great family tropical atmosphere with a singer that played the guitar and steel drums! Paradise at it’s best!

Great place for the price...

Please keep in mind that this is a vacation rental & not a hotel. No daily maid service. If you need fresh towels just ask at office. We stayed in a 1 bedroom with window units for a/c, but had a full kitchen. Walked to beach everyday. They had floats and buggy boards for you to use if you wanted & a bbq grill. We had end unit so it was very quite. LOVED IT & will stay again.
